Is Your Dog Fearful or Afraid of Fireworks? We can help!

Until July 4th Until New Year’s Eve

We know what it is like to live with a dog that is afraid or terrified of fireworks, and we have felt relief when our dog was finally able to lay comfortably on their bed during July 4th or New Year’s Eve. You may find yourself dreading these types of holidays or celebrations.

Let’s get started helping your dog before the next major fireworks event begins. Schedule your first 60 minute appointment with a dog trainer today.

It’s never too late to improve your dog’s life by helping him or her feel better about fireworks, storms, or other loud noises.  We can provide your dog with immediate tools that allow him or her to cope better today.  We can help change your dog’s feelings/emotional response to fireworks thus eliminating (or at least reducing) the unwanted behavior (shivering, hiding, digging, drooling, escape attempts, destruction) during days of the year that we celebrate holidays with fireworks.

Dogs that are afraid

Most dogs that are afraid don’t learn over time that it is safe when fireworks are happening unless we provide them with a different experience.  That’s not to say that some dogs don’t figure out fireworks are not dangerous, but most are in a state of panic and they can’t learn when they are panicking.  Signs your dog is afraid include:
  • Panting
  • Pacing
  • Hiding
  • Attempting to Escape
  • Shaking
  • Staring
  • Digging
  • Barking or other vocalizations
  • Becoming more vigilant
  • Drooling
  • Tucking his tail
  • Lifting Paws
  • Licking Lips
  • Exaggerated Yawning
  • Exaggerated Stretching
  • Soiling in the house
  • … among others
